Victim is a resident of Kanganheri Village

New Delhi, Dec. 9 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka District Police have arrested a lady identified as Sheena (30), a resident of Rewla Khanpur, for robbing a man named Sumit Kumar (30) of Kanganheri village on Tuesday.

The Rewla Khanpur area, located on Chhawla-Jhatikra Road is infamous for prostitution.

In the broad daylight robbery which took place in Goyla Dairy area, as many as three women approached Sumit Kumar and “suggested doing some immoral act”, said DCP Dwarka Shankar Choudhary on Thursday.

According to DCP Choudhary, the complainant further alleged that on his refusal all the three women caught hold of him and after overpowering him robbed his gold ring weighing around 5 grams.

In his police complaint, Sumit Kumar alleged that he was passing through the Goyla Dairy area when he stopped to take a phone call, after which the incident occurred.

With the help of several CCTV cameras, the local police zeroed in on the three women. A secret information was received that one of the lady robbers involved in the said robbery, was present at Goyla Dairy Nala area to commit another robbery.

“A trap was laid and the lady criminal was trapped by the team from there. The robbed gold ring was recovered from her possession,” said DCP Choudhary in a statement.

Search is on to nab the remaining two lady culprits.
