Arrest made from Mohan Garden area of Dwarka

New Delhi, Nov. 17 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka (Delhi) Police have arrested an African national and recovered high-quality heroin worth Rs 5 crore in international market from his possession, DCP Shankar Choudhary told “The Delhi Crown” newspaper on Wednesday (Nov 17).

According to DCP Choudhary, the accused identified as Nnamdi Ilias Akabueze (35), a resident of Nigeria, was nabbed from Chath Pooja Park, near Ganda Nala Najafgarh, Mohan Garden, while he was trying to supply the narcotic drug.

The team comprising SI Kartar Singh, Head Constable Jitender, Constable Parmod Kumar, Constable Ravi Kumar was constituted under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Subhash Chand.

The team was led by Dwarka ACP (Operation) Vijay Singh Yadav.

Based on a secret information, the team reached Chath Pooja Park, near Ganda Nala Najafgarh, Mohan Garden, and apprehended the suspected African national Nov 15. Heroin weighing 513 grams was recovered from his possession.

A case u/s 21 NDPS Act was registered vide FIR No. 647/21 against the accused at the Mohan Garden police station.

During interrogation, he revealed that he is an intruder and came to India through Bangladesh in 2019. According to the police, the accused has been staying in Delhi illegally without valid a Visa.

For long he was involved in drug peddling, added the police.
