Dwarka Police bust human trafficking racket
Two girls kidnapped from Gujarat rescued
New Delhi, Feb. 5 (Delhi Crown): A Dwarka Police team led by ACP (Operations) Vijay Singh Yadav cracked a human trafficking racket by arresting one accused and rescuing two girls, including a minor, kidnapped from Ahmedabad, a senior cop said on Saturday.
The accused was nabbed from Dwarka area, and the two girls rescued and handed over to the Ahmedabad Police.
According to the police, on Feb. 3 Sub-Inspector Subhash Chand (In-charge of Cell Against Illegal Foreigner and Narcotics, Dwarka) received an information through Ahmedabad Police that two young girls and one male accused had their hideout somewhere in the Dwarka area.
In this regard, a complaint was registered at Vatva police station in Ahmedabad. S-I Subhash Chand shared this information telephonically with senior officers.
On the direction of ACP Vijay Singh Yadav, a police team was set up which soon it succeeded in tracing the two girls, including Pooja Devi (21), a resident of Jashodanagar, Ahmedabad.
The accused identified as Shyam Beer Gujar (22), a resident of Ratiyapura, Karauli area of Rajasthan was too arrested by the Dwarka District Police.
