Dwarka Police arrest minor for rape, murder of woman
Accused allegedly burnt the victim’s private parts
New Delhi, Nov. 23 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka district police on Tuesday arrested of a 17-year-old boy for allegedly raping and killing a woman last week.
Cracking the case after eight days of finding the body of a woman in a drain near a garbage dump, the police said that they had initially charged the minor with murder, but when he also admitted to raping the woman, they added the rape charge.
The minor, who is yet to be named, is said to have strangled the victim and setting her private parts on fire to destroy evidence of rape.
Police said that investigations are still ongoing in the case. The victim’s post-mortem report is awaited.
