Dwarka Police apprehend a minor for stealing Scooty, robbing Rs 2000

Minor was among the boys who beat up another boy over a girl

New Delhi, Dec. 11 (Delhi Crown): A school boy has been arrested by the “Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS)” of the Dwarka District Police for allegedly stealing a two-wheeler and robbing Rs 2000, Dwarka DCP Shankar Choudhary said on Saturday.

A police complaint regarding a quarrel among some school boys was reported from near Govt. School, Sec. 2, Dwarka on December 9.

A dedicated team lead of Inspector Kamlesh Kumar, SI Vikash Yadav, ASI Surender, Head Constable Deepak, and Constable Vinit was constituted and deployed under the supervision of Dwarka ACP Vijay Singh Yadav.

During the search, one Juvenile in Conflict with Law (JCL) involved in the said robbery was apprehended by the team of AATS. The Scooty used in the commission of the offence was also recovered from his possession.

During interrogation, the Children in Conflict with Law (CCL) disclosed that two days ago a quarrel happened in front of Govt School Sec 2 Dwarka with one Ankit Mehto. He was used to dropping his girlfriend at school.

Aniket opposed the same and the CCL was beaten by Aniket and his associates on this issue.

Thereafter the CCL called their friends. They reached the same school and beat Aniket and his friend. They were robbed of Rs 2000 and the mobile phone of Aniket and fled away on the Scooty.

The JCL was handed over to the Dwarka South Police Station for further necessary action. Efforts are going on to nab the other accused persons and main accused Aniket and other associates, said DCP Shankar Choudhary.
