New Delhi, Dec. 5 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka District Police on Sunday arrested two persons involved in trade of illicit liquor and recovered several bottles of spurious liquor from their possession.
In the first case, the Najafgarh Police nabbed a lady selling liquor illegally in Najafgarh’s Roshan Garden area. Her two male accomplices, however, managed to flee.
The arrested lady was identified as Munesh (40), a resident Roshan Garden area.
As many as 196 quarters of illicit liquor, 12 bottles of whiskey, and 19 bottles of beer were recovered from her possession.
The two male accomplices were identified as Shankar and Langeda, both residents of village Rewla Khanpur.
According to a written statement, a few days back DCP Dwarka Shankar Choudhary received a WhatsApp message about sale of illegal liquor in Roshan Garden area in Najafgarh, and he instructed ACP Najafgarh to take action.
“ACP Najafgarh enquired personally at the place and got proper reiki done. It was found that one lady sell liquor from her home near Ganda Naala, Roshan Garden, and keep stock in nearby building locking it from outside,” said the written statement by the Dwarka District Police.
On Dec. 4 ACP Najafgarh constituted a team comprising ASI Shailender, Head Constable Narender, Woman Constable Geeta. Led by ACP Najafgrah, the team was conducted the raid. A lady with two suspicious people was found selling liquor. After seeing the police party, both the male persons ran away from the spot but the lady was apprehended.
In another case, the Chhawla Police nabbed an illicit liquor seller from Ghumanhera village while selling liquor in a car.
On Dec. 3 at about 7:50 p.m., ASI Jhabarmal and Constable Motilal received a secret information about the illicit liquor from an informer that a red WagonR car containing illicit liquor is coming from Haryana side.
On checking, they apprehended a person namely Sagar (38), a resident of Village Shikarpur with 500 quarters of illicit liquor consisting of 10 cartons (500 quarters).
