Dwarka district cops get 22 new 4-wheelers to maintain Law & Order

Initiative to strengthen “Ghatak Patrolling”

New Delhi, Dec. 22 (Delhi Crown): As many as 22 cops of the ranks of Inspectors in-charge of Law and Order or Investigation posted at 11 different police stations under the Dwarka District Police have been handed over four-wheelers (Gypsies) to facilitate their movement in their respective areas and check crime.

Each of the 11 police stations have been allotted two Gypsies.

This is said to be a part of the initiative taken by Commissioner of Police Rakesh Asthana to strengthen policing in the city.

“In pursuance to the instructions of Delhi Police Commissioner and in order to strengthen the logistic pertaining to separation of law and order and investigation, Inspectors in-charge of Law and Order and Investigation have been provided separate four wheelers to improve the response time to the complainant and also to improve the investigation process. The vehicles were allotted and keys are handed over by Additional DCP-II/Dwarka,” said an official statement issued by Dwarka DCP office.

This initiative would also help in intensifying “Ghatak Patrolling” throughout Dwarka Police District in order to curb street crimes.
