DMRC makes ‘Selfie Point’ at Kashmere Gate Metro station
Ex-PM Vajpayee had inaugurated first Metro here two decades back
New Delhi, Dec. 24 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made a ‘Selfie Point’ at Kashmere Gate Station inviting Delhiites to click their selfies here.
The spot was where former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had inaugurated Delhi’s first Metro corridor 20 years ago.
The creation of the Selfie Point coincides with Vajpayee’s birth anniversary which falls on December 25.
“Welcome to Delhi’s latest Selfie Point and be a part of the city’s history. This was the location where Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had inaugurated Delhi’s first Metro corridor back in 2002. Visit Kashmere Gate Station to click your selfie and be a proud Delhiite,” tweeted DMRC on Friday (Dec. 24).
