Delhi’s AIIMS to be redeveloped into a world-class Medical University: L-G
New Delhi, Feb. 2 (Delhi Crown): Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will soon be redeveloped into a world class Medical University, announced Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday.
A virtual meeting in this regard was held today in the national capital under the chairmanship of L-G.
CEO of NITI-Aayog Amitabh Kant, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, DDA Vice-Chairman Manish Kumar Gupta, besides other senior officials of AIIMS, were present at the meeting.
At the meeting it was decided to put in place an institutional mechanism to coordinate and facilitate timely grant of No Objection Certificates (NoCs)/ clearances required for the project from different departments and agencies including DDA, Local Bodies, Forest, Fire etc, said L-G Baijal after the meeting.
It was also agreed to meet periodically under the chairpersonship of L-G to review the status of approvals granted and to consider any inter agency coordination issues that may arise.
