Delhi Police nab a DRDO scientist for planting bomb at Rohini Court

IED blast had taken place in Courtroom No. 102 on Dec. 9

New Delhi, Dec. 18 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Police on Saturday arrested a DRDO scientist for allegedly triggering a low intensity IED blast on December 9 inside the Rohini Court premises.

The incident was initially described as a computer blast. But, later on police investigation revealed that the DRDO scientist, whose identity hasn’t been revealed yet, was behind the blast.

He allegedly wanted to kill lawyer with whom he had been having a long litigation.

The targeted lawyer was supposed to attend a court hearing at Rohini Court when the blast took place.

A cop was injured in the incident.

According to the police, the DRDO scientist himself had made the low-intensity bomb and kept it in courtroom number 102.

During police interrogation, the scientist is learnt to have admitted that he wanted to kill the lawyer and therefore he planted the IED.

The Delhi Police Special Cell found multiple clues and evidences against the scientist, including CTVT footage, based on which he was arrested.

Further investigation is on in the case.
