Delhi Govt. waives off penalty on renewal of school busses’ fitness certificate
New Delhi, March 9 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Government on Wednesday announced to waive off the payment of additional penalty fee on account of delay in renewal of certificate of fitness and renewal of permit up to April 30 in the cases of school cabs operated by operators/individuals/schools and school buses owned by schools only having school bus permits.
Penalties if already paid for the intervening period with effect from Feb. 1 2020 to Dec. 31, 2021 shall not be refunded, said the order issued by the Transport Department of the Delhi Government.
Despite the announcement by the Delhi Government to resume physical classes, most schools in Delhi/NCR continue to provide online classes as they are yet to meet certain requirements such as adequate number of teachers, other staff, number of buses, etc. to resume physical classes.
