Delhi BJP to set up ‘ST Morcha’ soon
Party says there are 18 lakh people in Delhi belonging to ST communities
New Delhi, Jan. 2 (Delhi Crown): Delhi unit of the BJP will soon set up a Schedule Tribe Morcha” to acknowledge nearly 18 lakhs people belonging to different ST communities, announced party president Adesh Gupta on Sunday.
Representatives of the “Adivasi Vikas Parishad” met Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta at his office and proposed to set up a “ST Morcha” within the party.
Party’s media Incharge Navin Kumar Jindal said that there were over 18 people who belonged to different ST communities, including Meena, Bheel, Gond, Santhal, Uranv, Munda, Girthi, Dhanutha, etc.
“These communities have not got the Constitutional rights. If we set up a ST Morcha, definitely these people will get an identity in Delhi,” said Jindal.
