Delhi BJP spokesman Aditya Jha files FIR against comedian Vir Das
Das had passed remarks about Indian women at an event in U.S.
New Delhi, Nov. 16 (Delhi Crown): Delhi BJP spokesman and former DUSU leader Aditya Jha on Tuesday filed a police complaint against comedian-actor Vir Das at the Tilak Marg Police Station for allegedly bringing a bad name to the country by passing “pervert” remarks about Indian women at an international forum.
At a function organised in the U.S. recently, Das had stated that he belonged to a country where women were “worshiped during the day and raped at night”.
Demanding a suitable police action against Das, Jha in his complaint mentioned that the latter’s remarks at a programme in America had brought a bad name to the country.
Later in the day, Jha tweeted – “Das, a perverted mind, had made an attempt to defame India on an international forum. I have filed an FIR with the DCP.”
