Delhi BJP chief exhorts all Morchas to start preparing for MCD polls
New Delhi, Dec. 26 (Delhi Crown): Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Sunday exhorted all his party’s Morchas to start preparing themselves fully for the ensuing MCD polls.
MCD polls are slated to be held early next year. Currently the BJP rules all the three MCDs in the national capital.
“If our workers are able to tell people about the welfare programmes and policies of the Modi government as also the good work done by all our three corporations, none can stop us from winning,” said Gupta at Delhi BJP Morchas’ joint day-long executive meeting which concluded in the national capital today.
Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Gupta said from 2013 till 2019 the CM endlessly talked about cleaning river Yamuna and making it like Thames of London “but fact is it is getting worse with sewer water from 32 main drains and other chemical wastes falling into it day in and day out.”
“The Delhi government had prepared a Rs 1400 crore budget for this but to no avail,” lamented Adesh Gupta.
Present on the occasion, BJP’s national secretary and co-Incharge of Delhi Dr Alka Gurjar said, “we should start preparing for the ensuing MCD polls in the right earnest and as usual all Morchas will have a vital role to play in it.”
Among others, those present on the occasion included Delhi BKJP organizational general secretary Siddharthan and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
