Delhi BJP attacks Kejriwal govt. for not cleaning Yamuna-river
Local MP calls Delhi CM a “bahrupiya”
New Delhi, April 7 (Delhi Crown): The agenda of BJP’s Delhi unit for Thursday (April 7) seems to be to attack the Kejriwal Government over the filthy Yamuna-river flowing through the national capital.
Barely in a gap of three minutes, two senior BJP leaders in Delhi today tried to corner the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over its “inability” to clean Yamuna-river over the past seven years since it has been in power.
Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta tweeted a short-while back questioning Kejriwal – “Tell me one thing – When the river Sabarmati in Gujarat can be cleaned, why can’t Yamuna in Delhi.”
Gupta also attached a news-clipping of a Hindi daily to substantiate his query. The Hindi daily hailed the BJP-led government in Gujarat for its efforts in cleaning the Sabarmati-river.
Barely three minutes later, Member of Parliament from West Delhi constituency Parvesh Sahib Singh tweeted, calling Kejriwal “bahrupiya” and leading a corrupt government.
He also claimed that the Central Government had allocated Rs 2600 crores to the Kejriwal Government for cleaning the Yamuna-river, but the Delhi CM had not even issued tenders for the past three years to initiate the work.
“The pollution of Kejriwal’s failures has increased now,” tweeted the BJP MP.
