Delhi becomes first state to give subsidy on purchase of e-cycles
Rs 7500 subsidy to be given to first 1000 buyers
New Delhi, April 7 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Government on Thursday announced subsidy on purchase of passenger e-cycles, thus becoming the first state to do so across the country.
A subsidy of Rs 7,500 will be given to the first 1000 buyers of e-cycles. One person will be allowed to purchase only one e-cycle. The highest speed for e-cycles will be below 25 km/hour.

Besides, Rs 15,000 subsidy will be provided to the purchase of cargo e-cycles for the first 5000 buyers, said Gahlot.
He added that so far the Delhi Government has provided a total subsidy of Rs 59.44 crores on purchase of e-vehicles.
