Delhi Assembly passes resolution over stray cattle menace
Committee to come out with a report within a month
New Delhi, Jan. 3 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution that a committee would be formed to solve the problem of stray cattle in the national capital.
In a month, this Committee will lay the report on the table of the House, said a Delhi Assembly Secretariat official.
Stray cattle is a big menace on the streets of Delhi. Hordes of cattle can be seen roaming around on the main roads meant for vehicular traffic, often leading to a number of accidents.
The menace continues despite several ‘Gaushalas’ in the national capital to take care of the cattle disowned by people after they turn old.
