Precaution Doses too for Health Workers, Old from Jan. 10

New Delhi, Dec. 25 (Delhi Crown): A new Covid-19 vaccination drive for children aged between 15 and 18 years will be launched in the country on January 3, announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

Addressing the Nation on TV at around 9:45 p.m., Modi also said that Precaution Doses of Covid vaccines will be given to health workers, frontline workers and those aged above 60 years with effect from January 10.

On the occasion, Modi appealed to the countrymen not to panic and avoid rumours about Covid-19 or Omicron variant.

The Indian scientists’ community was keeping a close watch on the varied experiences coming out from different countries regarding the Omicron variant, added Modi.

The Prime Minister also stated that over the past 11 months as many as 141 crores Covid vaccines doses had been given across the country. 61 percent of the adults in the country have been given both the doses, while 90 percent of the adults have received the first dose, added Modi.
