Central Govt. allowed to appoint 15 Directors to manage Delhi Gymkhana Club

New Delhi, April 1 (Delhi Crown): The Central Government was on Friday allowed to appoint as many as 15 Directors to manage the affairs of the prestigious Delhi Gymkhana Club situated next to the Prime Minister’s official residence.

The order came from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on a plea filed by the Central Government, by a bench comprising Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and member Narendra Kumar Bhola.

The 15 Directors appointed by the Central Government will manage the affairs of the Club in accordance with its Memorandum, the Articles of Association and the Company’s Act 2013.

These Directors will be supposed to file a report with the NCLT once in three months or whenever required.

They will also be tasked to take all actions necessary for restructuring the Club as per the Memorandum and Articles of Association and also take corrective measures which are found in violation of the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
