CBI arrests DSIIDC senior manager accepting bribe

New Delhi, Jan. 13 (Delhi Crown): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths arrested a senior manager of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) S.K. Singh and a private person for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.1,70,000/- from a person.

In a case registered with the CBI, the complaint had alleged that he was running a business of manufacturing cream separator machine from a shed in Mangolpuri, Delhi, allotted to him by DSllDC.

It was further alleged that Singh demanded a bribe from him for not sealing his shed on the count of alleged encroachment, and directed the complainant to deliver it (bribe) to a private person in Karol Bagh, New Delhi.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting bribe of Rs. 1,70,000/- from the complainant.

Searches are being conducted at the premises of the accused in Delhi.

Both the arrested accused will be produced tomorrow before the Competent Court at Delhi, said a CBI spokesman.
