Builder found dead at female friend’s house in Delhi’s Chhattarpur area

Dead Sanjeev Sejwal’s wife has been living separately for quite some time

New Delhi, Nov. 11 (Delhi Crown): A builder identified as Sanjeev Sejwal (36) was found dead at the house of his female friend in South Delhi’s Chhattarpur area on Thursday morning, confirmed the local police.

The deceased was married and has two children. But, for quite some time his wife had been living separately along with the two kids.

A licensed pistol, in the name of Sejwal, was also recovered from the spot. It is alleged that the bullet was fired from the same pistol, though police investigation is on.

Sejwal had a telephonic conversation with his female friend and subsequently came to her house for late night party.

According to police sources, the female friend had also invited her two nephews for the party. After dinner Sejwal and his female friend went to sleep at the latter’s house, even as the two nephews left for their home.

On Thursday morning the woman called the police claiming that Sanjeev was lying in a pool of blood. The police recovered the revolver from the spot and sent Sanjeev’s dead body for post mortem.

As per police sources, Sanjeev was a builder and was a witness in the murder case of his cousin, which took place in 2017. After the murder the Delhi Police had provided two armed cops for his safety, and he was also given an arm licence. None of the two personal security guards provided by the Delhi Police was present on the spot when his alleged murder took place on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday.

Police are investigating Sanjeev’s death from all possible angles, before arriving at any logical conclusion, said a senior cop.
