Baba Haridas Nagar police nab 3 auto-lifters in South-West Delhi
One of the accused is from Village Dhansa
New Delhi, Dec. 11 (Delhi Crown): With the arrest of three persons, the Baba Haridas Nagar Police claimed to have solved as many as six cases of motor vehicle thefts, said Dwarka DCP Shankar Choudhary on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Suraj (37), Sandeep alias Premi (24), both residents of Fatehabad in Haryana, and Ganesh alias Gaurav (21), a resident of Village Dhansa in South-West Delhi.
Two stolen motor-cycles were recovered from their possession.
On December 4 one Sagar (22), a resident of Sainik Enclave in Baba Haridas Nagar, had reported to the local police about his bike missing. A police case was registered in this regard and the task to nab the criminal as well as to recover stolen motorcycle was assigned to the beat-staff.
During patrolling near Anaj Mandi on Najafgarh-Bahadurgarh Road at around 09:40 p.m., Constable Naveen saw that some persons were chasing motorcycle-borne three persons and alarming “Chor-Chor”.
Constable Naveen started chasing said motorcycle. On seeing chasing by a cop, all the three left the motorcycle and started fleeing in different directions but were apprehended by alert and dedicated beat Constable Naveen.
Accused Suraj is previously involved in 6 cases of Robbery, Snatching, Theft and Arms Act, while accused Ganesh in one case.
