Accomplice managed to run away
New Delhi, Nov. 23 (Delhi Crown): A cop posted at the Baba Haridas Nagar while on night patrol duty in Dichaon Enclave of Najafgarh area successfully nabbed an auto-lifter while he was trying to steal a motorcycle on Tuesday (Nov. 23).
According to the local SHO, complainant Rohit (29), a resident of Dichaon Enclave, alleged that at around 01:00 a.m. on Tuesday, he returned home and found his Bike (Splendor) missing.
He started searching for his Bike and in nearby street he found two boys were breaking the lock of his bike. He raised an alarm.
In the meantime, Beat Constable Rajesh who was on night-patrolling in the area reached there, and he with the help of complainant caught hold of one accused, while the other managed to flee.
The one nabbed was later identified as Tapan (21), a resident of Heera Park in Dichaon. On further investigation and interrogation, the local police found that he was involved in a rape case in the year 2017.
“Alertness of beat Constable led to the arrest and recovery from accused,” said the Baba Haridas Nagar SHO and added that his associate has been verified and sincere efforts are going on to nab him.
