New Delhi, Nov. 19 (Delhi Crown): The Special Task Force (STF) at Dwarka Police Station claimed to have solved many cases of auto-thefts after arresting an auto-lifter who was on the run for a couple of months.
The arrest was accomplished on Nov. 18.
Identified as Nadim Khan (30) S/o Riyazuddin Khan R/o B- 86 J.J. Colony Shiv Vihar Uttam Nagar, Delhi, he was arrested from a park near his house while smoking “Ganja”.
A team led by Inspector (In-charge, Dwarka STF) Pawan Tomar, and comprising Sub-Inspector Vivek Maindola, Head Constable Gangadhar, Constable Anil, Constable Azad and Constable Shimbhu arrested the accused auto-lifter.
On October 6, two accused namely Sabir Khan alias Ganja and Pradeep alias Disa were arrested by STF officials in case U/s 25 Arms Act & 411 IPC by the Dwarka Sector-23 Police Station.
During interrogation they disclosed about 16 unsolved cases of drugging, Motor Vehicle thefts, Snatchings etc. Both also revealed that one Nadim Khan of Shiv Vihar Uttam Nagar was also involved with them in these crimes.
Subsequently, the Dwarka Police zeroed in on Nadim Khan’s house and successful nabbed after days of technical vigilance, said Inspector Pawan Tomar.
According to Tomar, accused Khan was found arrested previously in three cases of theft, but managed to get bail in July this year.
