Ambedkar University V-C Prof Anu Singh Lather visits South-West Delhi’s Ghummanhera village

University’s campus to come up here

New Delhi, Dec. 2 (Delhi Crown): Vice-Chancellor of Delhi’s Ambedkar University Prof. Anu Singh Lather on Thursday visited village Ghummanhera, in South-West Delhi, where a campus of the University is proposed to be set up on a 20-acre land.

The V-C was accompanied by a few local administration officials.

The university has been proposed at this village for long.

During the visit, the Prof. Anu was seen briefing the local MLA about how the whole process of setting up the university’s campus will go about.

“After we receive a letter from you, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will form a committee under my chairmanship. We will formulate a proposal and forward it to the Delhi government. Once the committee submits its proposal, the Delhi government will ensure that all compliances and measurements are done/fulfilled.”

During her visit she further said, “once the Delhi cabinet approves it, this piece of land will be handed over to us. Thereafter, we will contact and hire an architect. A jury will be appointed and presentations will be made. Once the design of the campus is finalised we will submit it to the Delhi Government, which will subsequently release funds after which the DDA will take over and starts the construction process.”
