Alleged druggist tried to break ATM in Najafgarh’s Roshanpura area
Accused identified as Gaurav Joon, a resident of Ganpati Enclave
New Delhi, Jan. 7 (Delhi Crown): In order to satiate his drugs needs, a druggist identified as Gaurav Joon (29), resident of Najafgarh’s Ganpati Enclave, tried to break open an ATM in Roshanpura area to get easy money.
The incident was reported on Thursday night by an employee of the ATM guard. An FIR was registered at the Najafgarh Police Station.
Subsequently, a police team of Dwarka Special Staff was set up under the supervision of ACP Vijay Singh Yadav to nab the accused.
Several hours of CCTV cameras’ footages were analyzed, and data of several criminals who had been involved in such crimes was analyzed and informers were deployed with specific briefings.
The team finally got succeeded when acting on a secret information a raid was conducted and the accused Gaurav Joon was apprehended from Najafgarh area.
On interrogation he confessed to the crime and disclosed that he needed money to buy the drugs as he was habitual of taking the drugs. To get easy money he planned to break open the ATM.
