Learner Licenses’ validity extended

New Delhi, Jan. 5 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Government on Wednesday decided to suspend from Jan. 6 the process of making driving licences, or learner’s licences, in the wake of sudden surge in Covid cases in the city.

Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that all appointments with the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) strand suspended till further orders.

He said that the validity of existing Learner’s Licenses will be extended.

“Considering rising COVID cases and recent DDMA guidelines, all appointments for Driving Licence & Learner Licence tests (fresh & existing) at all RTOs will be suspended from tomorrow (6.1.22). Details for rescheduled dates will be sent to all applicants via SMS. We will extend validity of existing Learner Licences,” tweeted the Transport Minister on Wednesday.
