Several ex-Ministers, ex-MLAs from both BJP, Congress join AAP

New Delhi, March 14 (Delhi Crown): After a clean sweep in Punjab winning 92 seats out of total 117, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now set its eyes on Punjab even as a host of senior leaders from both the BJP and the Congress, in the state, including ex-MLAs and ex-Ministers, joined the party fold.

Among those Haryana politicians who joined AAP on Monday are BJP’s state executive member and former Gurugram MLA Umesh Agarwal, former minister Balbir Singh Saini, senior Congress leader and former minister Bijendra Singh, former Samalkha MLA Ravindra Kumar, Sohna assembly’s BSP candidate Javed  Ahmed, Punjab in-charge of Congress’ Kisan Cell Jagat Singh, Amandeep Singh, Brahm Singh Gurjar, Parminder Singh Goldie, Karan Singh Tanwar, Khaimi Thakur, Sardar Azad Singh, Gurlal Singh joined the AAP, along with a sea of their supporters and followers.

Next Assembly elections are slated to be held in Haryana in 2024.

Joining the leaders into the party fold, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said – “People in Haryana say that if the next Assembly polls are held tomorrow the BJP will be routed and the AAP would win all the 90 Assembly seats. After seeing the thumping victory in Punjab, people in Haryana too have made up their mind to vote for the AAP.”

Jain said, “It is a matter of great delight that prominent leaders who have been MLAs and ministers in Haryana are joining the family of the AAP. After Punjab and Delhi, people in Haryana are saying that elections should be held soon in Haryana so the AAP can form the government soon. After Punjab and Delhi, this change will move forward throughout India.” 

“Till now the politics which was done in the name of hate, will now be done in the name of work.  Till now people used to think that getting work done is difficult but in Delhi, we have shown that when you have the will you can easily make the impossible possible,” he added.
