AAP MP Raghav Chadha among this year’s Young Global Leaders

World Economic Forum announces a list of 109 YGLs

New Delhi, April 21 (Delhi Crown): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Raghav Chadha is among World Economic Forum’s 109 Young Global Leaders for the year 2022.

A total of nine persons from South India, including India and Pakistan, aged below 40 years have been adjudged the Young Global Leaders (YGLs) for this year. They include SUGAR Cosmetics’ CEO Vineeta Singh, Edelweiss Mutual Fund’s MD and CEO Radhika Gupta, Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE)’s CEO Jaideep Bansal.

Two young leaders from Pakistan also figure in the list of those from South Asia – CEO & Co-Founder of Pakistan’s “Sehat Kahani” Sara Saeed Khurram and Saad Hayat Tamman, the Member of the “Strategic Reforms and Implementation Unit, Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan”.

The YGLs include scientists leading on efforts to address COVID, to activists tackling gender-based violence, artists keeping history and culture alive through music and leaders from business, civil society, academia and government.

Reacting to his selection as YGL, Raghav Chadha tweeted – “I am honoured to have been selected as a World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader for the year 2022. This is a recognition of the potential that ‘Kejriwal School of Politics’ has to reshape political landscape & bring about public service and nation building in its truest sense.”

Minutes later, his party’s boss and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal congratulated him while retweeting his tweet.
