Buses seating capacity norms flouted in Delhi
New Delhi, Dec. 30 (Delhi Crown): Despite fresh guidelines issued by the Delhi government in the wake of current spurt in Covid/Omicron cases, to the effect of restricting seating capacity in buses to 50 percent, private buses were seen running with full capacity with even passengers standing inside them.
Such sites are quite common on the Najafgarh-Kapashera route, particularly in the private/RTV buses, with no checks by the local police or any other authorities.
With these buses running packed to their capacity, one can only imagine how could social distancing be maintained among the passengers. More so, many passengers are often seen travelling without wearing face-masks.
